LT230 transfer case and ZF 8HP adapter kits

An adapter is the part of a conversion that cannot be bought off a shelf, and it is the part that decides whether the rest of the driveline stays in the vehicle. Everything on this page exists to join something modern to something that is already there: a BMW 6HP or 8HP automatic to the Land Rover LT230 transfer case, the same gearboxes to a Nissan Patrol transfer case, or a Discovery 4 ZF 8HP to a Defender TD5 engine. The housings are CNC machined from high-strength 6061 aluminium and supplied with the shaft or input gear the join needs, and the TD5 kit carries a heat-treated 300M adapter shaft, so the original transfer case and its low range stay where they are. The engine mounts are here for the same reason: they are machined to hold a BMW M57 or a Mercedes-Benz OM606 in the one position that keeps the gearbox and the driveline in line, and they bolt in with nothing cut and nothing welded.
